DAY 5

After your breakfast, let’s go on a relaxing pirate boat trip to the coastal areas of Elounda and Spinalonga Island. Swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing are some of the activities on this trip.

You will be able to take a Pirate boat ride around the famous lepers’ island.

Spinalonga and admire its beauty from another point of view.

Next with our boat we will have the chance to stop at the famous pirate’s Barbarossa Cave where he searched for refuge and then he managed to conquer the island.

He is none other than Hayreddin Barbarossa. During the 16th century, Barbarossa actively operated in the Mediterranean seas. He started his naval career by serving as a corsair under the leadership of Oruç Reis, his elder brother. In the year 1516, they captured Algiers together, and Oruç declared himself sultan. The Europeans were fearful of the naval battle tactics, warrior skills, and seamanship of Hayreddin Barbarossa. He became the king of Algiers and remained loyal to Ottomans even though his mother was a Greek Christian.

Then we make a stop at Kolokytha beach a place well known for its natural beauty. At the main time boat crew prepares delicious Greek style “mezedes”* to enjoy them when we are in Kolokytha beach accompanied with music and dance . On board is also served raki, fresh fruits and orange juice.

Lastly we stop at “Skistra” beach where you will be able to swim at the crystal clear water, dive and enjoying the sun in a place where very few people visit. Our friendly crew promises you an unforgettable mini cruise which we hope will make one of the highlights of your holidays.

DAY 6

After your breakfast, go and visit Heraklio city, the old market in the town Centre – the Lion’s square – where you will have the opportunity of shopping around.

The old Market Street is still a place for ‘Herakliotes' - the people that live in Heraklion, to come every day to meet, talk and have fun. As you are walking on the streets, you will grab the atmosphere of being a local and feel the buzz around you.

DAY 7

After breakfast, we will have a full day tour to experience Crete island. This excursion takes you to the west side of the island. It includes a visit to the towns of Rethimno and Chania, as well as to the well – known Lake of Kournas.

Going west on the northern axis of Crete, first we will pass the Ida range that includes the highest mountain of Crete, Psiloritis (2453m high), then our tour will take us to the beautiful town of Rethimno.

A graphic Cretan town, so characteristic and unique, that nothing similar is met anywhere else on the island of Crete. We will have time to relax at the beautiful scenery at the old port of Rethimno. Our next stop Chania. Its Venetian walls and harbor, narrow streets, and old buildings from the Venetian and Turkish period are mostly intact and take you directly to the past.

The old harbor, where the small fishing boats can moor, is a perfect place to enjoy a coffee and observe the liveliness of the city.
Next stop and last is the lake of Kournas, the only natural sweet water Lake close to Chania, where you will have your lunch. For those who want, there is a possibility to make a tour in the lake on pedals, or just walk around the lake and swim before we take the way back to Heraklio.
